Former Celtic boss Ronny Deila has made headlines in America after a powerful team talk with his new club, Atlanta United, went viral online. The Norwegian manager, well remembered by Celtic fans for his energy and emotion on the touchline, showed that same passion in the MLS.
Deila’s team beat Orlando City 3-2 at home in front of a huge crowd at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The win was his fifth since taking charge of the club.

After the match, a video of his dressing room speech was shared widely. In the clip, Deila is seen shouting with joy and clapping as he praised his players, urging them to keep playing with spirit and togetherness.

The win was badly needed for Atlanta, who have had a rough season so far. The team now sits 12th in the Eastern Conference after 16 matches. They’ve struggled to find form and consistency, but Deila believes better times are ahead.
Deila has been clear that he wants the players to show more belief and character on the pitch. He said they must fight for each other and play as one unit.

His passion was clear during the match as he paced the sidelines and shouted instructions, just like he did during his time at Celtic.
This isn’t the first time Deila has shown such emotion. During his two years at Celtic, from 2014 to 2016, he was known for celebrating with fans and wearing his heart on his sleeve. He led Celtic to two league titles and developed young players, even if his time also came with pressure and criticism.
