Former Hoops boss Ronny Deila has made history across the pond with New York Cory FC after being crowned MLS Champions for the 2021 season.
Ronny has landed the relatively new clubโs first major silverware in their history and did it in the most dramatic of fashion.
New York City looked to have won the game against Portland Timbers by one goal to nil when in the dying moments of the game, Portland scored an equaliser pushing the game into extra time then penalties.
It would be New York who would win the dramatic shoot out to be crowned champions on the day. An emotional Ronny Deila in tears after the game was over.
Ronny has won trophies in Norway, Scotland and now the US. His coaching ability is right up there. The manager got a very tough ride at Celtic from some of his own players and the media.
Deila was also cheated out of the chance to land his own treble when a spectacular honest mistake convention hit Hampden for a semi-final against Inverness.
