Celtic stuttered at home to Motherwell on Saturday afternoon. It was a poor performance from the Hoops although in the match, there was a clear rule break missed by referee Steven McLean.
In the second-half, Liam Kelly came to collect the ball at the edge of his box. The Scotland internationalist, though, appeared to have dropped the ball, then picked it back up again:

Any football fan will know this is not allowed. Celtic should have been awarded an indirect free-kick from which who knows what may have happened.

It may not have affected the result and VAR couldn’t have intervened because it wasn’t one of the five incidents it can check, but it is concerning nonetheless.
Questions will be asked of the man in the middle over how he missed this, because it is certain the whole of the Jock Stein lower stand and part of the North Stand didn’t.
