Johnny Kenny has continued his impressive form in the Europa Conference League for Shamrock Rovers with a brace tonight against Borac.
Kenny, who at 21 years old certainly has a long career ahead of him, is currently on loan at Rovers from Celtic for the 2024 season in Ireland.
The Irish striker opened the scoring in the 12th minute, before assisting Shamrock’s second goal, and capped off a terrific performance with a brace in the 64th minute to put Shamrock 3-0 up, with Stephen McGowan of the Daily Mail recently reporting that Kenny is set to earn an opportunity at Celtic after his form in the Conference League.

Celtic certainly need a third-choice striker who can learn from Kyogo Furuhashi and Adam Idah, and this is clearly what Kenny can bring.
He is proving himself already in the Conference League, and under the leadership of Brendan Rodgers he really could develop into a future first-team striker.
A third-choice striker would add a new dimension to this current Celtic side, and with 5 goals in 5 Conference League games, the Irishman is a striker who can rise to the occasion if given the chance.
Domestically for Shamrock Rovers, he has also consistently scored with 13 goals and 3 assists in 29 league games.
Particularly impressive numbers considering he is only 21 years old.
However, with his contract expiring in the summer, Celtic face the choice of selling him before then or offering a deal to stay at the club and progress under Rodgers.
