Celtic have wasted no time in addressing the damage caused to Celtic Park by the severe weather that forced the postponement of Saturday’s match against Dundee.
A video has emerged showing workers repairing panelling at the top of the stadium, believed to be the source of the debris that was scattered across the stands during the storm.
The sight of debris on the seating areas and pitch made it clear that the stadium could not be deemed safe for supporters, prompting the club to make the difficult decision to call off the game.

However, Celtic are now moving swiftly to ensure the damage is fully repaired and the stadium made safe for future fixtures.
The panelling being fixed appears to match the material seen in the widely circulated image from inside the ground, which showed debris across the lower stands. With this work underway, the club is clearly prioritising supporter safety as they aim to restore Celtic Park to its usual high standards.
The postponed match has already been rescheduled for Wednesday, 5th February, and the quick progress being made suggests there will be no further concerns about the stadium’s condition by that time.
While the storm disruption has been an inconvenience, Celtic’s prompt response will reassure fans that the club is doing everything necessary to address the situation. They are also currently sorting the banner which came away outside the ground.
The focus will now shift back to the pitch, with the team preparing for a busy schedule and potential new signings who could play a part in the rescheduled fixture.
For now, the bhoys can now concentrate on their final league phase match against Aston Villa knowing they’ve already booked their place in the knockouts.
