Video: CCV Hampden Heroics

Cameron Carter-Vickers has been an absolute rock for Celtic since signing for the club from Spurs.

The American international alongside Carl Starfelt has been the foundation on which Celtic have built their success.

The Hampden semi-final against The Rangers epitomised that as he played through the pain and made some vital interventions – one on the line as Celtic shut out their Glasgow rivals.

CCV gets kicked to the ground here, and when the referee plays on, he quickly jumps back up while in discomfort to head the ball away from danger. It was outstanding to see.

There were rumours before the game that this would be CCVs last game of the season. An underlying injury that he’s had for quite some time needs to be operated on.

The centre-back has gone out on the highest of highs. He’ll be watching from the stands as his teammates clinch the league title as early as next week. And he’ll take a seat at Hampden in June for the Cup final.
