Video: Ange Postecoglou Reacts to Celtic Exit

It will be difficult to find many Celtic supporters who lay the blame at Ange Postecoglou’s door for Wednesday night’s Champions League exit.

The Hoops ran out of gas in the second half and after squandering an outstanding opportunity to make it 2-0 on the night – around 30 second later the ball was in the back of the Celtic net and it was 1-1.

The Hoops offered nothing in extra time and conceded the fatal goal early on.

The manager was reluctant to go to his bench, especially when there were players out there this evening he didn’t want to have to rely on for such an important tie.

Speaking after the game to Premier Sports, the manager was obviously dejected but believes the players on the pitch gave their all in an energy zapping night in Denmark

Celtic have been badly let down by the board, the recruitment and just the general planning for this season. We’re still in the infancy of a rebuild that should have started taking shape months ago.

Ange needs time to bring in his own players and implement his own system. Right now, we’re running on fumes with a team who failed to make the grade last season.
