Celtic succumbed to a late Motherwell equaliser on Saturday afternoon. It seemed as though the Hoops were heading for three points after David Turnbull netted from the spot, but it wasn’t to be.
The performance of the champions was sub-par, but manager Brendan Rodgers thinks it will be simple to lift his players after the result. He said (Celtic FC on YouTube): “Very easy. We’ll get in and recover. it’s a very honest group of players and we’re all very disappointed we’ve not picked up three points after being in the position we were in.”

Up next for the Celts is a trip to Rome to take on Lazio. The players must get themselves motivated again but as Rodgers admitted, that won’t be tough.
A win against the Italians would bring the mood surrounding the club significantly back up, although securing such a result will be arduous. To keep their hopes of European progression alive, though, the Hoops must win in the Stadio Olimpico.
