It appears to be becoming increasingly likely that Celtic goalkeeper Vasilias Barkas will be remaining at the club this summer.
With the signing of Joe Hart in this window and Scott Bain being the choice for 2nd goalkeeper on the bench, it was thought that there was a chance the Greek keeper could be offloaded before the end of the summer transfer window.

However, Greek journalist Giannis Chorianopoulos provided fans with an update of Barkas’ future at the club. After his agent worked for offers, including back in his homeland with POAK, he now looks more likely to remain at Parkhead.
No sign at the moment that Barkas will leave Celtic. Even though his agents worked for an offer, at the moment nothing concrete. PAOK were interested, but Barkas doesn't want to come back. Let's see…#Barkas #CelticFC #Celtic https://t.co/tWU9p0f1fA

Barkas joined the club just over 12 months ago as Neil Lennon’s replacement for former goalkeeper Fraser Forster.
The move just simply hasn’t worked out, and supporters were expecting a lot more from the 27-year old for the £5 million fee paid.
For both parties, it would be best to move on in order for Barkas to play his football elsewhere. But it doesn’t look like that will be happening at this stage, and Barkas will have to wait a few months for that.
