CELTIC have nothing to play for now.
Their season is over, they will finish the season without a trophy for the first time since 2009.
An incredible fall from grace from a side that racked up trophies at a ridiculous rate before this season.
What should happen next?
We all know what we need, a new manager. That should be forthcoming as quickly as possible.
But the rest of what’s left of this season should be dedicated to fringe players who might still have a future at this club beyond the summer.
That means play your Soro’s and your Ajeti’s from the start. Give a new manager the chance to see what these lads can do. Bring Barkas back in as number one, let’s see what he can do.
We know what Edouard and Brown can do but they’re both off in a matter of months so it’s time to sit them in the stands.
These might be dead rubbers but we need players out there who have a point to prove and know a new man is watching. The old guard is out and the new guys need to start their ascent but will John Kennedy [the old guard] let that happen?
There’s another trip to Ibrox on the cards, throw these lads in and let’s see what they’re made of.
