Celtic are now just three victories away from officially securing their fourth consecutive Scottish Premiership title, with their trip to St Johnstone on April 6 shaping up to be the match where they could mathematically clinch the league.

Motherwell’s shock 2-1 win over Rangers at Ibrox on Saturday has only strengthened Celtic’s position at the top, extending their lead to 16 points. The home side found themselves two goals down, for the second time this week, but couldn’t make a comeback against the Well.
If Brendan Rodgers’ side keep winning, the title will be officially sealed at McDiarmid Park, as there would not be enough points left for their Glasgow rivals to catch them.
It’s a week off league action for Celtic, with Hibs in the Scottish Cup next weekend, but after that, they return to play Rangers and Hearts at home, before travelling to Perth to clinch the league title, hopefully.
Should Celtic win their next two home games, they will travel to Perth knowing a victory would wrap up the league with five games to spare.
With the title now within touching distance, the Hoops will look to maintain their relentless domestic form and ensure a celebration on the road.
