Update: Scottish Football Restrictions Latest

All restrictions placed on large gatherings in Scotland back in December will continue to stay in place until at least January 17th – the fixture date for Celtic vs Hibernian at Celtic Park.

Nicola Sturgeon and the government will revise a new framework for Scotland’s next step in the pandemic in the coming weeks.

Right now, it looks like there will be no major fan presence in Scottish grounds after the winter break. It’s not confirmed yet but things are surely heading that way.

Celtic would be allowed to have 500 fans inside the stadium if the restrictions remain. The ballot for that would be strange to say the least.

We’re keeping a close eye on what’s going on at the moment and are continuing to look at where the government appear to be heading.

There are massive positive rates of the virus in the country at the moment.

Celtic and Scottish football will be hoping the fans being kept out won’t last for very long. Any restrictions badly affects the financial state of our game.

Having been locked out for a year and just back in stadiums after the summer of 2021, it would be tough fans up and down the country if this goes on for quite some time.
