Update On Kristoffer Ajer’s Popped Shoulder

Celtic players limped off the pitch at Celtic Park yesterday after gruelling extra-time in a horrible game of football. Kristoffer Ajer went off during Celtic’s 2-1 win against Dunfermline in the Betfred Cup.

The injury looked serious with the player’s arm going into a sling and the Neil Lennon confirmed after the game that the big defender had, in fact, popped his shoulder.

Celtic can ill afford to have any injuries to their back-line this season with such a depleted defence. Ajer has been the Bhoys best defender so far in the new season. Lennon kept it short and sweet on the latest injury update to the Norwegian.

“We think he’s ok”

The games have come thick and fast for Lennon and the Hoops return to Paradise on Thursday to face off against AIK Stockholm for a last-ditch effort to secure European football this season.

In between the two AIK games will be a visit from Hearts to Paradise. Lennon is only a few games into the new season and the pressure cooker is turned up full blast already.
