Ange Postecoglou was not best pleased after he found out Scott Robertson had been speaking to the Daily Record about the likelihood of leaving Celtic.
The 21-year-old hasn’t played any minutes for the first team this season and with his contract up next year it looks increasingly likely that he will leave the club.

He has had a number of loan spells in English football having spent time at Gillingham, Doncaster Rovers and Crewe Alexandria.
Although he hasn’t got any minutes under his belt, he was included in Celtic’s Champions League squad and was also taken on the trip to Sydney but only managed 15 minutes of football with him admitting that he has just accepted his fate.
However, this is something that Postecoglou would much rather remained in house rather than speaking to external sources.
“I don’t think he should be calling things himself in the papers,” said Ange Postecoglou speaking to Celts Are Here.
“Aside from that, Scott’s one of these players whose been here for a very long time as a young kid and they all have dreams and aspirations to play for this football club.
“Sometimes circumstances and timing don’t work out but that doesn’t mean they can’t a meaningful career.
“My words to Scott and to all the young players is that ultimately it’s about everything they’ve invested and having a football career that they see out. Sometimes that’s just about opportunity.
“Once you reach a certain age your next phase of development comes from playing. He needs to go and play and play regularly and I’ve got no doubt he can make a career.”
There have been a number of players in recent years who have had to leave Celtic earlier than they would have liked to go out and forge a career with there being a current few examples in the SPFL Premiership.
He thrived during his last loan spell down at Crewe and it is being reported that Scott Brown’s Fleetwood and St Mirren are also interested in the services of Robertson.
