Celtic got a point in France against Lille on Thursday evening but it could have been more with a sensational first half putting the bhoys 2-0 up.

The second half was ridiculously tense and when Lille got a goal back, it was wave after wave of attack from them. They got a scrappy second with 15 to play and fancied their chances to go on and win. That’s when Celtic stood up and managed to get a vital point.

Moi Elyounoussi was our best attacking player on the evening but the man of the match for us has to be Diego Laxalt; he was everywhere.

In the face of every Lille player and tackled time and time again, never looking out on his feet even though has not played many games this year at all.

Celtic fans have been waxing lyrical over the player. On loan from Milan, if he keeps up these performances, we will want him to stick around.
