Celtic fans have been digesting the news their striker Patryk Klimala is on the brink of a move to the MLS.
The striker hasn’t been seen in the match day squad for weeks and there had been whispers of a move to America.
Given the Polish frontman didn’t manage to cement a first team place at Celtic, there are not many putting up an argument for Paddy staying.
In fact, a lot of people are more interested in what Celtic stand to recoup from any deal with New York Red Bulls.
Celtic reportedly paid over £3m for the striker and according to Record Sport, The bhoys will recoup a lot of that money back.
Some fans thinks it’s too good to be true while others are hailing it as an unbelievable piece of business.

I remain extremely skeptical that NYRB would pay £3.5m for Patryk Klimala

Won't and never have claimed Klimala is the next Ronaldo but the guy worked hard and wanted it, which is a lot more than can be said for some other people.
Actually quite disappointed for the guy. Really hope he goes on and makes something of himself.

Absolutely fantastic piece of business by Celtic if we’ve managed to recoup our money for Polish Paddy. Unbelievable.

A truly awful signing. No track record other than a 6 month spell before we bought him. A polish league 2 player. But “Paddy”
Who signed the cheque for £3.5m for him but wouldn’t pay that for McGinn. Really sums up how inept we have been in the transfer market.

Paddy did come back after lockdown in brilliant shape, bulking up and wanting to give the league a real goal but he’s been in and out of the team.
He’s suffered like many this season and a move to New York to play football has to be a tempting offer.
If Celtic do claw back even half of the cash for Klimala, it will be a great piece of business.
