Uefa Strike Again – This Time it’s AIK Fans

Uefa have been busy over the past few days with disciplinary measures for fan bases who choose not to behave themselves.

It was a long time coming but the Ibrox club across the city were hit with a partial stadium closure for their songbook during a Europa League qualifier and now Celtic’s Euro rivals AIK have been hit with a fine after crowd trouble marred their exit from the Champions League at the hands of Maribor.

Celtic fans got an up-close and personal look at how some of the AIK fans can behave and nobody will be surprised they have been hit with a fine for crowd trouble.

The AIK fans stormed the Maribor section after they were put out the competition, trying to regain a flag which had been stolen by Maribor fans.

The Swedish club have been hit with an €82,500 fine ahead of their home leg against Celtic.

You can catch footage of the same fanbase trying to charge at the Celtic end during their 2-0 defeat to the bhoys on Thursday night.
