UEFA President Talks Up Celtic in Super League Argument

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin has changed his tune since the Super League announcement and namechecked Celtic in an argument about why the Champions League is special.

The breakaway clubs have been slammed for their greed and opportunism over the past 48 hours, and rightly so.

But how has it come to the point Celtic are being used as an example of a club that NEED to be in UEFA competitions when the same organisation has made it as difficult as possible for us to get a seat at the top table.

Ceferin argued clubs like Celtic and Galatasaray etc are needed in these competitions, we’ve been arguing the same point as we won the league year after year and had to start at the second qualifying round of the Champions League.

UEFA are being seen as the good guys right now because of the Super League money grab, but let’s not forget, they continue to squeeze the smaller clubs to allow the richer clubs to get what they want.

There is greed everywhere.
