UEFA President in Mystery Meeting With Peter Lawwell

UEFA President Aleksander Ceferin had a meeting with Celtic chief executive Peter Lawwell hours before Celtic’s tie with Valencia on Thursday night sparking rumours Celtic are at the forefront of European reform in the coming months and years,

The mystery meeting which only came to light yesterday morning seen the UEFA chief be given a Celtic tour by Lawwell along with some board members before they all sat down for a mystery meeting.

There has been talk of a third European competition within the game, giving more clubs a chance to play some top European opposition going forward and it’s likely Scottish football will be heavily involved in it.

The Champions League is becoming more closed off to sides outside the top five leagues with the rich clubs wanting to keep the massive TV revenue to themselves and make sure they compete in the competition on a regular basis, leaving clubs like Celtic out in the cold.

Modern football at its worst.
