UEFA Fine Celtic €23,000

Celtic has been fined €23,000 for their latest disciplinary action regarding the second leg of the Linfield tie earlier this month.

Celtic were charged with ‘Illicit’ banner, Kit Infringement and Stairway Blocking.

The UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body (CEDB) has announced the following decision:

Match: UEFA Champions League second qualifying round second leg match between Celtic FC and Linfield FC (4-0), played on 19 July in Scotland.

Charges against Celtic FC:

• Illicit banner – Art. 16 (2) of the UEFA Disciplinary Regulations
• Kit infringement – Art. 62 (3) of UEFA Kit Regulations
• Stairways blocked – Art. 38 of UEFA Safety & Security Regulations

Decision: The CEDB has decided to fine Celtic FC €23,000. Proceedings with regards to the kit infringement offence by the Scottish club have been closed.
