A duo of former Celtic heroes are both in the running for a current managerial vacancy in the Scottish Championship. Queen’s Park sacked their manager Robin Veldman following a heavy loss to Inverness on Saturday.
According to the Daily Record, two names the Spiders are interested in taking the job are Scott Brown and Charlie Mulgrew. Brown is a Celtic legend and took his first steps into management with Fleetwood. He parted ways with the Cods earlier this season, though.

It is said that the quadruple-treble-winning skipper’s preference is to secure another job down South however he could be persuaded by the finances of Queen’s. Mulgrew, on the other hand, is eager to take his first steps into management.
He was at Lennoxtown earlier this season as he observed how Brendan Rodgers works things at his old club as they prepared for a crucial Champions League match. He retired this year and is wasting no time regarding getting his coaching career started.
Either of the pair, who gave so much to Celtic in their playing days, getting the job would be an intriguing prospect. If Mulgrew or Brown did take over, Celtic fans would assuredly keep a close eye on proceedings in the Southside.
