Despite spending his whole working life at Celtic Park, John Kennedy has not spent too much time in front of television cameras. The ex-defender has found himself working his way up through the Celtic ranks after a tragic injury cut short his football career.
Today he set beside Neil Lennon as assistant manager. Before Brendan Rodgers departed he told JK to prepare to take the team for a few games. Neil Lennon said yesterday in his first interview since arriving back at the club, that John was the man to lean on.
The now assistant manager handled the questions about the team and said Callum McGregor and Ryan Christie would be out for the next two week. Maybe that is good news as it was feared McGregor could miss the whole month of March with a calf injury. The midfielder has played more minutes this season than any other player in world football.
Neil Lennon has said he has not had a chance to meet with players yet and he is not sure if he will be in the dugout for tonight’s vital clash against Hearts at Tynecastle.
