The transfer window is now closed and we can now survey of just what went on during a hectic and unprecedented transfer window.
Celtic brought in SIX players who all can be considered first team players on any given match day. What’s more, we kept a hold of our prized assets in Odsonne Edouard, Kristoffer Ajer, Olivier Ntcham and even Ryan Christie.

There were, however, a lot of outs. We’re counting twenty Celtic Park exits this summer between players released and loan moves. Nine players have permanently departed while eleven are out on loan — of that eleven, there’s a couple who have no real future at Celtic. The rest are young players out to gain experience and fight for their place next season.
Here’s a full list of our transfer dealings:

- Elyounoussi
- Barkas
- Ajeti
- Turnbull
- Duffy

This is just from our count, it could be possible we’re missing someone.
Jozo and Hayes started the exodus but you had the likes of Arzani who quietly left during the pandemic never to return. Fraser Forster the only player on that list Celtic fans would have liked to see on the ‘ins’. However, he turned down a move.
Good business by the club on the whole.
