Celtic’s biggest ever worldwide fan survey has sparked discussions among supporters, with significant attention on the potential expansion of safe-standing areas at Celtic Park.

The survey includes questions aimed at gauging interest in not only moving to a safe-standing section but also whether fans would be open to having their current seats relocated to make room for more such areas.
This move comes amid calls from fan groups for more extensive safe-standing facilities, possibly even transforming an entire stand into a safe-standing zone. The club has shown some hesitation about a full-scale implementation of the ‘Celtic End’ as a dedicated standing area, but they are moving forward with a safe standing section for Bhoys Celtic next season.
One of the first questions at the beginning of the fan survey is: “If in the future the Club was to consider installing further safe standing facilities at Celtic Park (subject to feasibility and other relevant factors), would you be interested in moving into a safe standing section at Celtic Park?”
It’s then followed up by, “If in the future the Club was to consider installing further safe standing facilities at Celtic Park, and given that the limited capacity at Celtic Park would most likely mean the conversion of an area of standard seats within the stadium, would you be open to your current seat being relocated to another part of the stadium to accommodate further safe standing facilities?”
With the survey probing fans’ willingness to embrace further safe-standing facilities, it suggests Celtic are seriously considering this feature’s expansion. Such changes could significantly impact the stadium’s dynamics, reflecting a growing trend in football to enhance atmosphere and fan engagement through standing areas.
