Transfer Update – Celtic Given Boost as Rivals Pull Out of Deal

CELTIC TARGET John McGinn will not be heading for Birmingham or Derby this month according to FLW.

Rumours down south about a potential bid coming from both club’s had picked up over the last week since Celtic made their third bid for the midfielder.

However, it looks like both clubs are pursuing other targets and the word they got from McGinn’s representatives was the deal to Celtic was still very much a possibility.

Celtic have had three bids rejected for the self-admitted Celtic fan.

The third bid in excess of £2million, a value Celtic seem to think is fair for the lad who is on the last year of his Hibs deal.

Hibernian are holding out for £4million but as we head into August there is no other clubs coming in for John at the moment.

The Easter Road side could end up losing the player for nothing next summer but it seems it’s a chance they’re willing to take.

As the window gets closer to closing, there will certainly be more talks between the two sides.
