Already this summer, a number of players have been linked with moves to Celtic. Brazilian winger Tete is one of those. The possibility of having him in green and white has got fans excited and recently, an update has been given regarding the speculation.
Transfer guru Dean Jones, who was over 90,000 followers on Twitter, told givemesport that there is some ‘substance’ to the potential move. He said: “Brendan Rodgers has obviously admired this player for a long time. I’ve said in the past that I’m sceptical about links to previous clubs, but in this case, I believe there is some substance to it”
Being linked to a Brazilian winger is exciting for supporters of any club never mind Celtic. Tete is a big talent and he would add an extra dynamic to the Hoops’ attack. At 23, he still has lots to learn but give at the same time.
Rodgers is undoubtedly an admirer of the player. He brought him in at Leicester and could be keen to do the same in Glasgow. We will hear more about this potential deal over the next few days and weeks as we find out if Jones’ ‘substance’ claim is indeed accurate.
