Tottenham Announce Ange Postecoglou Replacement

Tottenham Hotspur have named Thomas Frank as their new head coach, stepping in after Ange Postecoglou was dismissed only days ago following two seasons in charge.

Chairman Daniel Levy wasted no time in reaching an agreement with Frank, who has signed a contract running until 2028.

The Dane leaves Brentford, where he established himself as one of the Premier League’s most respected managers by keeping the club competitive in England’s top division.

Postecoglou’s exit follows a mixed campaign in North London. While he delivered a Europa League trophy and secured Champions League football for the coming season, an underwhelming domestic league run proved costly and led to his departure after just two years in charge.

Frank now steps into the role with the task of guiding Tottenham through Europe while aiming to steady their league form.

His work with Brentford drew praise for building an organised, disciplined side capable of troubling some of the league’s biggest names.

Postecoglou’s sacking brings his English top-flight stint to an abrupt end, having previously enjoyed a hugely successful spell at Celtic where he lifted five domestic trophies before moving south in 2023.
