MailSport is reporting overnight that former Dortmund boss Lucien Favre is interested in the Celtic job.
Since Neil Lennon left the club, the speculation has been rampant with not one single candidate coming out as a favourite.
Favre’s name being thrown into the hat is new and interesting.
The 63-year-old Swiss coach was dismissed from Dortmund in December after a poor run of results and is currently weighing up a move to Lyon also.

It seems like a very left field choice, but if anything it should bring Celtic fans comfort no stone is being left unturned and the net has been cast far and wide.
The Neil Lennon appointment was treated with none of that. Peter Lawwell publicly saying he didn’t do his diligence and offered the Irishman the job just after the treble treble had been secured.
Something has to give in the coming week. Celtic are getting closer and closer to next season where a lot is at stake. The European qualifiers start in the third week of July, we need a settled manager by then and recruitment must be well underway.
