McIntyre headed the team throughout their first season in the Lowland League but wasn’t in the dugout when the Hoops kicked off their second season in the league. Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus now share the responsibility.
Queen’s Park have been rising through the leagues and now finds itself in the Championship after back-to-back promotions. They soon hope to be in the top flight of Scottish football and challenging at the top end. There’s certainly a lot of good work going into the club, matched with investment.
McIntyre has already started work with the club, pictured in training with the youths.
His departure from Celtic was unexpected. He left the club after he was no longer needed in his position as B team manager, which was not the clearest of exits.
