The Celtic hero has always kept somewhat of a low profile. However, tonight he made sure to acknowledge Celtic’s latest transfer – his friend and international teammate Aaron Mooy.

Ange Postecoglou was forced to tell people to lay off Tom and what he’s been getting up to since leaving Celtic in May.

“I think Tom’s fine mate. Has anyone spoken to Tom? No one spoke to him when he was here for 10 years either, that’s Tom!” Said Ange Postecoglou speaking to the Daily Record.

“I’d be more concerned if he was out there talking to people.

“Leave him alone, he’s fine.

“He’ll get his next move done and I’m sure he’s in a great place.

“As far as I know, and I haven’t been in contact with him, but the people I know say that he’s got no problems.”

We can’t wait to see where Tom ends up next. The Hoops hero deserves to continue his career somewhere high profile.

As for Celtic, they prepare for life after Tom. The club’s official first game of the season is on July 31. Aberdeen will be in town for Flag day. Aaron could see action that day if Ange believes the player’s fitness is at a good enough level.

It’s going to be an interesting season for the club. Champions League football and the chance to defend our title. We can’t wait for the season to begin.
