Todd Cantwell Makes Callum McGregor Claim

Todd Cantwell has boldly stated that his drive to win surpasses that of Celtic captain Callum McGregor.

The assertion comes in the wake of a heated 3-3 draw at Ibrox, where tensions flared between the two competitors. The draw suited Celtic more than the home side, and after some poor results from Rangers, Celtic are now in the driving seat for the league.

Cantwell expressed his ambition to accumulate trophies, much like McGregor, who has collected 20 titles with Celtic and is looking to add two more before the end of the season.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Cantwell reflected on the rivalry and the intense desire to succeed that both he and McGregor share.

“There’s a rivalry there, right?,” Cantwell said.

“Listen, there are things which are said on the pitch and things which are said off the pitch. And, as a player, I think you should respect. I want to win probably just as much as he (Callum McGregor) does, probably a little bit more, to be honest, because he has been up here a long time. It’s a rivalry, it’s a competition. Both teams want to win, both teams need to win. It stops there, that’s all it is.”

Since Todd Cantwell has arrived in Scotland, he’s won a League Cup and embarrassed himself with off-the-pitch antics while McGregor captained his team to a treble, and are chasing their third league title in a row while defending their Scottish Cup.
