“To be Honest” – Postecoglou Delivers Surprising Pittodrie Verdict

ANGE POSTECOGLOU claims that if his side hadn’t picked up three points against Aberdeen, he wouldn’t be disappointed, pointing to the dominant performance from his side.

The Hoops were dominant throughout the afternoon, with Callum McGregor registering more passes than the whole Aberdeen squad. With over 400 passes in the final third, Celtic had 33 shots on goal, with a third of them hitting the target.

With 81% possession lying with the Bhoys, Aberdeen didn’t really play football on Saturday, just sampling in their box and throwing their bodies on the line.

As quoted by the Daily Record, Ange explains why the result isn’t always the most important thing to him. He said:

“No, I don’t look at it that way. To be honest if we had got a draw I wouldn’t have been disappointed. You have to look. at the performance.

” You want to win every game of football, but the reality is that’s not how football works. You look at the mentality and getting the goal is great because it rewards the players.”

The three points saw Celtic keep their nine-point lead at the top of the table. With two home games to play before Christmas day, the squad will be aiming to take six points from them and keep their lead at nine points.
