While fans have been discussing Aaron Mooy and Daizen Maeda after their performances on Wednesday night, Swedish defender Carl Starfelt has been left out of the conversation.

Hibs didn’t sit back during Wednesday night’s match, as they tried to get forward and exploit the space Celtic had left. In fact, Hibs scored first, but the linesman had his flag raised.
Celtic needed a solid defensive performance, particularly in the opening part of the match, and they got that. Along with Carter-Vickers, Starfelt was impressive and to me, stood out in the back line.
He had the most passes in the match with 91, one of them was an assist, but not that he deserves much credit in Maeda’s goal!
His defensive performance was top-class. Clearing the ball nine times, he made two interceptions and three recoveries. He won all of his duels on the ground and in the air without committing a foul the whole match. [Futmob]
It was a flawless performance from the defender who is still heavily criticised by some of the support. Is it time to put some more respect on Carl Starfelt’s name?
