Celtic completed a 5-0 rout of Buckie Thistle late on Sunday afternoon. Goals came from five different scorers as the Hoops put in a hugely positive performance upon their return to action.
Getting the goals flowing early doors was Paulo Bernardo. The 21-year-old was played in behind by Matt O’Riley, and he dinked the ball over the Buckie’s ‘keeper with an air of coolness.

After the match, the Portugal under-21 internationalist posted on Instagram. Among many responders to it was Tiago Araujo.
The Estoril left-back has been widely linked with the Celts and to Bernardo’s post, he replied ‘What a finish sir Paulo boy’:

After a move for Owen Beck was ruled out due to his involvement for Liverpool against Bournemouth on Sunday, Celtic’s attention will now likely turn to other left-back targets. Araujo is known to be on the club’s radar, and his continual interaction with Bernardo’s social media posts is intriguing.
The pair are close, and their friendship may be all that is behind these comments, but one cannot help but read between the lines and garner links from them.
