Three Talking Points as Celtic Into Premier Sports Cup Semi Final

CELTIC were brilliant as they overcame Motherwell 4-0 in Lanarkshire on Wednesday evening.

The Hoops were brilliant and deserved a couple more goals. Kyogo missed a handful of chances and watched his shot from twenty-odd yards rattle the underneath of the crossbar before bouncing out.

It was a great performance from Postecoglou’s side, who will head home happy with the result and performance.

Here are three talking points as Celtic’s name enters the draw for the semi-final of the Premier Sports Cup.

Reo Hatate Shines Again

Reo Hatate was magnificent once again, running the midfield. He covered every blade of grass and sprayed passes around effortlessly. He also managed to get on the scoresheet with an ice-cold finish, something you’d expect from a world-class player.

Siegrist Shows Pros and Cons

Ben Siegrist started on Wednesday night for the Hoops, with many fans feeling he should be given the chance between the Celtic sticks. He looked good overall, leaving fans impressed.

Motherwell didn’t show too much of a threat to the Celtic defence and didn’t face many shots on his goals, but when he was called into action, he looked reassuring. However, it’s got to be said he wasn’t too comfortable with the ball at his feet.

Kyogo Lacking Confidence

Kyogo missed some chances tonight that he’d normally burst the net with. You could see he was struggling through the game but, thankfully, managed to get on the scoresheet. He’s a really important player for Celtic, so hopefully, that goal will do him the world of good.
