A Celtic reserve side fielded three trialists on Sunday afternoon versus Arbroath in a friendly. Tommy McIntyre and his side went down 1-0 to Arbroath thanks to a goal from ex-Celtic reserve player Greig Spence.
However, the story of the day was the three trialists whose names were not put down on the team sheet.
According to VideoCelts, the three players who pulled on the Hoops yesterday were.
- Liam Burt (Former Ibrox Trainee)
- Scott Robertson ( Celtic academy player out of contract)
- Tom Leighton (Previously of Watford)
We have reached out to the club for confirmation.
Celtic have lost a lot of personnel, not just in the first team but also in the reserve side. A good few players were let go after the end of last season and the scouts are now looking for top young talent to develop.
It’s going to be even thinner on the ground for Tommy McIntyre when the likes of Karamoko Dembele, Ewan Henderson and Armstrong Oko-Flex get a permanent call up to the Celtic squad.
