In the last week, Celtic have been linked with a move for Belgian league striker Thomas Henry, as Ange Postecoglou looks to add to his attacking options.
The French striker has been subject to interest from several clubs across Europe, with a price of around £7 million being quoted.
As quoted by Sun Sport, speaking to Football Insider, the Frenchman’s UK agent representative Paul Tait has claimed that Henry’s preference is to join the Hoops.
He also states that fellow Belgian league side Gent is in pole position to sign the frontman after agreeing a fee with OH Leuven.
Thomas’ preference is to join Celtic if they can agree a fee with Leuven. Gent have agreed a fee with Leuven and they are in pole position to land Thomas.
Now, it looks like it’s up to Celtic to make their move for the 27-year old.
Henry appears to be interested in making the switch, so it is down to the board to try and get this deal over the line for Ange Postecoglou.
Only time will tell if things progress with this deal in the coming weeks of the transfer window.
