Speaking to Danish media, Erik Sviatchenko says he expects to Celtic even though he’s third choice defender at the moment.
Talking to BN, the Celtic defender seems certain of his stay
“Here I will remain third choice in the central defence, but that may change when I come back.
“Now it’s about getting as strong as possible so I can join in an exciting and busy autumn season with the Champions League and many other important matches.”
Erik was subject to interest from Copenhagen and Besiktas in this window with Celtic not rebuffing their interest, but Copenhagen stated the club priced them out of a deal.
Erik will have every chance to prove his worth to Brendan Rodgers with the fixtures coming thick and fast over the first half of the season.
