We can confirm Hatem Elhamed will miss the Glasgow Derby after his test for Covid-19 was returned as positive.
Celtic will be without Nir Bitton, Ryan Christie and now Elhamed with Odsonne Edouard a doubt for the game due to a positive diagnosis.
This is just the start of the week and there’s still plenty of time for more positive tests to come through, which is the frightening thing here.
Celtic FC and Israel National Team defender Hatem El Hamed has been diagnosed with contracting COVID-19 testing positive for the coronavirus. The balance of the Israel National Team tested negative.

We have to again stress the human side of things and Elhmaed was exhibiting symptoms which prompted the test after last night’s Isreal game. We wish the Celtic star a speedy recovery but we must now go into battle on Saturday without the big man.
Celtic will be up against it, COVID has intruded on every aspect of this game and Celtic finding a way to win under the current circumstances would be monumental.
We will see what happens on Saturday and hols our breath no more players come down with the virus.
