Things are going from bad to worse for former Celtic coach Harry Kewell in Japan.

The Aussie departed Glasgow at the turn of the year, taking up his fifth job in management with Yokohama F. Marinos.

Just over half a year into his term with the J. League side, though, things are going far from swimmingly for the 45-year-old.

His team were thumped 4-0 by Gamba Osaka last night, their heaviest defeat since 2005.

The Marinos have now lost four games in a row for the first time in 16 years, and remain only seven points above the relegation zone 22 games into the season. They have also failed to score in their previous two matches.

Kewell is under severe pressure, with his spell in Yokohama proving somewhat of a car crash.

He thoroughly deserved the opportunity to go back into management following a solid two years as a coach at Celtic, but it has in no way gone to plan.
