CELTIC are on the cusp of nine in a row with a meeting now set for Friday afternoon where the league being called is likely to be top of the agenda.
There has been a written acknowledgement from all member clubs that the season is unlikely to continue according to RecordSport.
All member clubs will take part in a video conference on Friday in which the board will rubberstamp the end to the current season.
If that happens, there’s absolutely nothing stopping Celtic from being crowned champions by late Friday afternoon, into Friday evening.
Celtic have always wanted games to be played, as have the support but with Scotland still on a full lockdown and clubs needing league payouts as well as not being able to keep players on beyond their contracts – this is the common-sense step to take.
It’s going to be a surreal moment when it happens, usually, we are all celebrating together through the streets of Glasgow and beyond but when the call does come – we will celebrate from our homes and on social media.
Celtic are thirteen points clear and only the biggest cynics would deny them nine in a row.
