BRENDAN RODGERS yesterday took the opportunity to quash any rumours about one of his star strikers after yet more speculation on Moussa Dembele’s future.
Speaking from Celtic’s training base in Dubai, Rodgers put rumours to bed that Celtic had already received offers for the Frenchman.
“My mind is that he’s a Celtic player and we have not had one bid”
“There has been a lot of noise around Moussa for 18 months now but, let’s be clear, we’ve not had one bid.
“He’s been linked with about 16 clubs, but the bottom line is you have to play football. Always be ready to play and then, if a move comes, it comes.”
There are certainly a lot of clubs who would love to have Moussa but, to this point, nobody has put their money where their mouth is.
The phantom Christmas day bid being a particular highlight of the nonsense Celtic have dealt with.
