Video: The Two Unbelievable Moments That Gave Ange His First Celtic Trophy

Celtic locked horns against Hibernian in today’s League Cup final at Hampden Park as Ange Postecoglou looked to win his first piece of silverware since taking charge of the club.

The Australian’s personality has been infectious from day one. From the way he deals with the Scottish media to the respect he has shown to the Celtic support, the club’s history and origins make every Celt want to see the manager win silverware this afternoon.

Celtic completely dominated play from the first whistle. All Hibs could do with possession is give it back to the Hoops.

With all the possession though Celtic only created a few half chances through Taylor, Starfelt and Mikey Johnston.

The Celtic hamstring curse struck again inside the first half-hour, David Turnbull the latest victim of a bizarre trend. The midfielder looked inconsolable when he went to the stands.

As the half-time whistle went Hibs had not registered one shot at goal. Both teams needed to re-emerge from the tunnel with something extra for the second half.

It only took a little over five minutes for both teams to register goals in the second half. Hanlon scored from a corner in the 51st minute for Hibs only for Celtic to go up the other end straight away for this brilliant Kyogo finish.

Carl Starfelt can be held responsible for the Hibs goal, he gave away a soft corner and then failed to defend it. He could have redeemed himself on the hour mark when he had a free header from a corner but he got a horrible connection and headed well wide.

The game has been much more open in the second half but more Kyogo magic sends Celtic fans wild with this class finish.

Celtic had a shakey finish with Hibs hitting the post just before the 90th-minute mark but Celtic survive that attack. In the 96th minute, Joe Hart pulled off a vital save to see the Bhoys over the line and end the heart palpitations for fans.
