News broke last night that Celtic weren’t giving up on their apparent interest in James Léa-Siliki from Rennes. The energetic midfielder was linked with Celtic earlier in the window according to RecordSport and Tweet from GFF claimed FranceFootball had reported Celtic are still interested.

The only thing is, we’ve been through the FranceFootball website who are usually a reliable source of information and there’s nothing there claiming this to be the case.
We have had several media outlets covering the story – including Football Scotland who seems to be feeding off the same report.
Tracking it down to Sports Witness, they claim a screenshot from the website and translation for it.
The Scottish side ‘aren’t letting go’ of the player, and are ‘making eyes at him’. according to the report.
This has grown arms and legs to the point some are calling Celtic favourites to land the player whose current market value is €4m according to Transfermarkt.
It appears the whole link boils down to this screenshot. Tenuous at best.
