It was no surprise to see Celtic attacker Nicolas Kuhn once again on the scoresheet at the weekend, the winger netting a brace in the Hoops’ 3-0 win over St. Mirren.
Brendan Rodgers’ men went 13 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership as a result of the victory.
Kuhn opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark with a fine finish on the counter. After Auston Trusty doubled the Bhoys’ lead with his first goal in green and white, the German then got another, showing great quick-thinking to drag the ball away from his opponent and tap into an empty net.

It was the 25-year-old’s 15th and 16th goals of the season, respectively, and as a result, he now has 27 goal contributions across all competitions for Celticin 2024/25: the same number Jota managed in his best season in green and white:

With half a season still to go, the winger will undoubtedly overtake the flamboyant Portuguese attacker, who departed for Al-Ittihad in the summer of 2023.
He is now plying his trade with Stade Rennais, where his future remains uncertain.
Unlike his predecessor, Kuhn took a while to get going in Glasgow’s east end, but since getting fully up to speed in fitness, he has set the heather alight.
