Celtic central defender Liam Scales thinks he and his teammates have been sending a relentless message to the rest of Scottish football all season.
It comes after the Hoops’ topsy-turvy Premier Sports Cup final against Rangers yesterday, from which they eventually emerged victorious.

The Ibrox side took a deserved lead just before the break, but not long into the second 45, Greg Taylor levelled the game. Daizen Maeda then put Celtic ahead bang on the hour mark.
Mohamed Diomande drew the Gers level with 15 to go, and although Nicolas Kuhn looked to have won it late on, Danilo’s header took the game to extra time.
Celtic prevailed on penalties thanks to a terrific Kasper Schmeichel save and five perfect spot-kicks.
The Hoops are mentality monsters and seemingly always find a way to win. That was no more apparent than yesterday.
While the victory was notable, Scales thinks Celtic have been making waves all campaign long: “I think all season we’ve been sending a message that we’re sort of relentless and playing good football,” he said (BBC).
“Today, you might not have seen good football, but it showed another side to us that we can win ugly sometimes.”
Particularly in cup finals, all that matters is getting over the line, and that is precisely what Celtic did yesterday.
It wasn’t pretty at times, and they in no way played to the levels they’re capable of, but Brendan Rodgers’ men brought home the bacon, much to the extreme delight of their fans.
