RB Leipzig are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Celtic winger Nicolas Kuhn as they undergo a tactical revamp under new manager Ole Werner.
Werner, who previously took charge at Werder Bremen, has been tasked with steering Leipzig back on track.

As part of a wider shift across the Red Bull football network, the German side is moving away from using wing-backs and reverting to a more traditional defensive setup featuring a back four.
According to journalist Philipp Hinze, Leipzig are focusing on wingers who fit this system, and Kuhn is firmly on their radar. The club is now prioritising formations such as 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, and 4-2-2-2, with the first two favouring natural wingers over hybrid wing-back roles.
Hinze said: “Nicolas Kühn: RB is still pursuing, intensifying their interest. Other wingers are on the list. Clear profile: Leipzig wants to operate with distinct wingers from a back four next season. This has been discussed with Ole Werner. Whether 4-3-3, 4-2-3-1, or 4-2-2-2 – RB is returning to a back four & aims to implement this as effectively as possible across the entire Red Bull cosmos.“
With Red Bull sides aiming to roll out this tactical shift across the board, Kuhn’s style of play fits perfectly.

His ability to operate high and wide would make him a strong option in any of the preferred systems, offering the kind of direct, pacey threat Leipzig are looking to reintroduce.
The German’s performances under Brendan Rodgers last season didn’t go unnoticed, and interest from his homeland may test Celtic’s resolve during the transfer window.
