The Positions Celtic Want Filled By Friday; Anthony Joseph

With the SPFL transfer deadline on 1st September fast approaching, Celtic are far from done in their quest to strengthen Brendan Rodgers’ squad.

The team has struggled for form in the first four games since Rodgers’ return, seemingly losing their identity as the Irishman tries to mould the side into his image after two successful years under Ange Postecoglou.

According to an update from Anthony Joseph, Celtic are actively seeking reinforcements in several key areas. The club is on the lookout for a left winger, with Luis Palma being the prime target. Additionally, Celtic are in need of a left back and a centre back to provide cover for the injury-hit defensive unit.

The goalkeeping situation at Celtic Park is also under scrutiny. Joe Hart, who is the current number one, has less than a year left on his contract. Scott Bain serves as a backup, but Benjamin Sigrist doesn’t seem to be in Rodgers’ plans for the future. If the club can offload a goalkeeper, they will be looking to bring in a new one to bolster the position.

The club must act swiftly to secure their targets and provide Rodgers with the tools he needs for a successful campaign. The focus is on bringing in new talent and retaining key players.

Celtic fans eagerly await news of new signings and will keep their fingers crossed that the club can pull off some last-minute deals. The coming days leading up to the deadline are set to be a rollercoaster of emotions and expectations.
