Celtic’s first team are continuing their pre-season campaign this weekend in Japan. The Bhoys take on Gamba Osaka on Saturday morning meanwhile the Women’s team are also enduring strenuous preparations ahead of the new season.
There is one Celtic side in competitive action this weekend, though, and that is the B team. The youngsters kick off their 2023/24 campaign with a trip to Broadwood to take on Cumbernauld Colts in the Lowland League.

Darren O’Dea and Stephen McManus led the youthful side to a third place finish in the league last campaign. The Hoops also managed to win the Glasgow Cup. In the new season, they will be looking to continually improve on these exploits.
The Cumbernauld clash is only the beginning for the B side. Three days after it, they will host Caledonian Braves at the Excelsior Stadium. A trio of consecutive home matches follow this against Cowdenbeath, East Kilbride and Gala Fairydean as the young Bhoys’ campaign gets well underway.
