The Most Pleasing Celtic Stat Against Rennes

CELTIC made light work of Rennes on Thursday night at Celtic Park.

The bhoys ran out 3-1 winners against the French side and there were a few pleasing aspects of the game.

Celtic being able to win without Odsonne Edouard was good to see – especially because fans before the game were worried his absence from the squad could knock us off our Euro stride.

Another pleasing aspect of the game was the three goal scorers for the club were all Scottish and all 24 and under.

Lewis Morgan, Ryan Christie and Mikey Johnston got on the scoresheet for Celtic in Europe and in doing so helped them to their best ever Euro finish in a group with the most points they’ve ever racked up.

Celtic played well, and Lewis Morgan just kept going throughout the match. The lad took his goal very well to get the night underway. What more can you say about Ryan Christie and Mikey’s return was magic.
